Vintage Unitype Large 4 Inch Enamel Sign Church White & Black Graphic This listing is for one AMPERSAND These are awesome largest size 4 inch Unitype. These are all black letter/Number on a white/cream background. There are so many amazing creative ways to use these letters/Numbers for signage in your home or business and as unique gift ideas. To date I have found nothing about this brand and company and I have tried to research at length; I will update listing if I ever do! These letters are generally known to have been used on church bulletin boards outside and inside; there is a small lip on them to hang/insert. These are all believed to date from the 1950’s-1960’s and possibly earlier; any letter you receive will have the Unitype maker logo on the back. I have found a back with a patent date of December 25, 1923!! That’s amazing they have been around since the 1920’s! The back logos are different colors I’m guessing related to size, color, or manufacturing date; if I solve that riddle I’ll update description. These are all believed to be steel (versus aluminum) lithographed letters with oven baked enamel. All letters, zero-9, exclamation, and ampersand are available in separate listings. The Black Letter on White Background vary wildly! Please look at group pictures of the “A”, there is a lot of range from white, to cream, to yellowish. There may be very small areas/spots of rust, Cameras, screens and lighting vary affecting perception of color, namely the variations of white; all photos on this listing were taken in natural light. If you order multiple letters I will do my best to pull letters of similar coloring but there will be variance; if you want to see your specific order ask me and I’ll pull and send you a photo of your SPECIFIC letters before you purchase.
