More Information: The Optrode Dual™ is an electrode simulator. This small device converts the reading of chemical optical sensors to electrochemical nA and mV signals (ECS). Connected to the electrode input of conventional controllers it expands their functionality to work with chemical optical sensors. The Optrode DualTM is a compact, easy to handle transmitter, which converts reading of chemical optical sensors into electrochemical signals (ECS) and can be connected to conventional controllers. The Optrode DualTM is developed especially for small fiber optic oxygen and pH sensors, flow-through cells and non-invasive sensors. They are based on a novel technology, which creates very stable, internally referenced measured values. This allows a more flexible use of these sensors in various fields of interest. Optical oxygen and pH sensors (also called optrodes) have several important features: They are small. Their signal does not depend on the flow rate of the sample. They can be physically divided from the measuring system which allows a non-invasive measurement. They can be used in disposables. Therefore, they are ideally suited for the examination of small sample volumes, for highly parallelized measurements in disposables, and for biotechnological applications. A set of different oxygen and pH minisensors, flow-through cells and non-invasive sensors is available to make sure you have the sensor which matches your application. The Optrode DualTM is an electrode simulator converting readings of chemical optical pH and oxygen sensors into electrochemical signals (ECS) and analogue outputs 4-20 mA in order to achieve compatibility with conventional controllers. It is a stand-alone device that has small outer dimensions and can be easily connected to the electrode input of the controller. The Optrode DualTM can be connected to any oxygen sensor type PSt3, and pH sensors type HP5 and HP8. Pre-calibration data for the chemical optical sensors and sampling rate are entered via barcode. A temperature sensor can be connected to the Optrode DualTM for temperature compensation of the measurement values.
