Vhorne the Pious is a Missionary zealot. The girl grew-up a gang-member of Foundry Metalworkers from the HIveworld of Gethsemane. She became zealously dedicated to the Emperor after witnessing Taddeus the Purifier burn many of the heretic rebels of her world. She saved Taddeus’ life after one of the condemned cultists escaped his chains and attacked the Priest. Vorne intercepted the crazed heretic and pushed him into an Alchomite Furnace. The heat was intense, but the girl continued to watch until the heretic had been reduced to ashes. Her skin and nerve endings were long inured to pain and flame from her childhood working the massive forges. These years of exposure and conditioning, as well as the combustion of the prisoner, had seared and toughened the flesh of Vorne’s exposed skin. The teenager was adopted then and there by Taddeus – and became his protégé. He first delivered her to the Sisters of Battle for the most intensive military training and indoctrination. She was later equipped with an ancient suit of non-powered full Ceramite Armour with a surcoat of heavy fireproof cloth. Thereafter she became known as “the Pious” and was further gifted with a unique relic weapon: The Vindictor, a Heavy Flamer with a massive two-handed Eviscerator Chainsword attached. Vorne has a pathological love and of all fire and flame, as well as and almost preternatural aptitude at incendiary execution.
